TPC "Annual Doo"/Gala Dinner 30th August 2026, Royal Leamington Spa
TPC "Annual Doo"/Gala Dinner 30th August 2026, Royal Leamington Spa
The team have been working hard to find and select an appropriate venue for the TPC 2026 “Annual Doo” and Gala Dinner at the end of August. With hospitality sector inflation and tight budgets, it has been tough to find a place that meets our specifications and price points. Checking out fourteen Towns and Cities and over thirty venues later, we are pleased to confirm that this event will take place over the weekend of 28th to 31st August 2026, with the AGM and Gala Dinner being on Sunday 30th August.
The venue is Woodland Grange, located near Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick and Coventry, in an area colloquially referred to as Shakespeare Country, that has a lot of history to offer (think Warwick and Kenilworth Castle); a range of museums and tourist attractions (including the Coventry Transport Museum, British Motor Museum in Gaydon and the RLS gallery and museum); some fascinating architecture, especially in Leamington and Warwick; and many places nearby to eat and drink, aside from the venue itself. Woodland Grange is a purpose built conference centre, situated in its own grounds with an old building and modern accommodation, staffed by a team that are friendly and capable.
This year the Gala Dinner ticket price is £75 per person, with an Early Bird discount to £65 per person for those booking prior to 1st June 2026. This includes a welcome drink, a three course, three choice menu with tea and coffee available after the dinner. We have a DJ and dance floor for those so inclined and plenty of social areas around the bar for those who wish to sit and socialise. Tickets can be booked and paid for here.
We are still exploring and organising the details of the weekend, and will share more when these are finalised. You are welcome to join us for one, two or three nights and the very favourable Bed and Breakfast rate we have negotiated is £85 per night single occupancy and £95 per night double occupancy. These preferential rates can be booked by calling the Woodland Grange reservations team on +44 (0)1926 310507 and quoting event 242605. The venue is prepared to discuss maintaining this rate for earlier or later nights, for those who wish to stay longer, such as our international guests. Whilst the room rates and convenience of the venue are attractive, attendees at the Gala Dinner are free to organise their own accommodation in various venues and hotels nearby.
The pattern of the weekend is likely to be:
Friday – arrival as per your plans, social outside and inside, with large format games, bar service and food available as a bar or buffet to order until midevening
Friday – TPC World invitation Tall Jenga Championships.....
Saturday – Own informal arrangements, drawing on the wide range of options locally
Saturday Evening – an informal “Tall Hubbub” - Drinks and Dinner in Leamington, or your own informal arrangements, including possibly ten pin bowling and escape rooms. Drinks back at the venue and potential late bar......
Sunday – own arrangements, 1100hrs TPC walk, AGM at 1600hrs and reception and Gala Dinner from 1900hrs until 0100hrs, followed by a late bar.
Monday Breakfast, eternal promises(!), farewells and depart.
The two formal events for the weekend are the AGM and Gala Dinner – you are free to join us in other activities, or informally organise your own. We are trying to organised a guided walk, which TPC will underwrite, as this is a very popular activity. Others often arrange and publicise events that they lead and open them to attendees and we will share details of these as they reach us.
Access by road is excellent with M40 and A46 Warwick bypass within a few miles and on site parking is free. Train services run to Leamington and Warwick Parkway, the two closest stations (both 3.1 miles away) on the Chiltern Line from Marylebone and Birmingham. Coventry station with various services, is 6.9 miles. There are four regular bus services from Leamington or Coventry that pass Woodland Grange and Taxis are available at all stations. The nearest airports are Birmingham (14miles) and Coventry (6 miles). Those flying themselves in should consider Coventry or Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield, both of which have General Aviation facilities. Anybody joining by parachute or helicopter should use [52.312376, -1.540953] as an aiming point.
