To access a members page or facility of this website, which includes posting a message on the BBS, you must prove to the website that you are a member of the Tall Persons Club.

In the boxes above please enter your club membership number and your date of birth. Your membership number can be found on your club membership card.

Please note that logging into this page is completely separate to logging in to the BBS. If you have never logged into the BBS before, you must log in here and then register as a new user of the BBS before you can post a message.

Public Computers

The idea is you should only need to log in once and your own computer holds the fact that you are a member. You do not need to logout, except...

If you use a public computer, for example in a library or internet cafe, then you must logout of the members facility before you leave the website, otherwise anyone else using that computer can browse the site like a club member and post messages on the BBS as you! Note that you do not need to logout of the BBS, just the members facility.

Once you are logged in as a member, an extra option appears at the bottom of the website's menu on the left side of any page of the website: underneath the "Internet Resources" link you will see "Member Logout". The same link is shown in the top right corner of any page of the BBS. Click on this link to logout at any time.

Problems You May Encounter

The club's records for some members do not include their date of birth. If you experience a problem logging in then it is likely that your date of birth is missing.

However, if you have become a member in the last few weeks and have joined by post then you may not be able to log in because the membership database used by this facility is updated every few weeks and doesn't know about you yet. The most recent member that the on-line database contains for members joining by post is member number 4574. If your membership number is larger than this number and you joined by post, please check back here in a couple of weeks until the number is larger, or the same, as yours. If you joined online then please ignore this number as it does not apply to online applications.

If you are unable to log in and you haven't joined very recently please email the webmaster, stating your name, membership number, date of birth and full home address (for security purposes).
