The specialized Hard Rock was a suitable bike. At first I thought I would need a larger frame size but the 23 inch frame works great. I road tested off the shelf full sus Giant, Specialisd and Kona and found them all very twitchy/unstable. The Comencal has been a real find. Although modified with a very high rise stem and huge seat post, it is a dream to ride. No sign of bike wobble at high speed, glides over the rough stuff and even in the saddle for 4 - 5 hours no back ache what so ever. The equipment spec is very good for the price (cc £1600). I can't recomend this bike enough if you are looking for a quality full suspension moutain bike without paying realy silly money. Also, I bought from Keswick Mountain Bike who could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable. However, it is a fantastic double-bouncer for serious trail riding - 5" travel back and front. The basis of the geometry is a longer top tube to the bike, coupled with a shorter stem. This works fine for most tall folks, but replacing the short stem increases the "cockpit" length even more.
