The books detailed below feature a tall character that is a major part

The
BFG, by Roald Dahl. The BFG is a big, friendly giant who spirits a
child out of bed one dark night. Fortunately, this giant really is friendly,
but his countrymen in the land of giants are inveterate child-eaters.
Can the child enlist the aid of his kidnapper in stopping the nightly
massacre?
Jack
and the Beanstalk. Jack inadvertently grows a beanstalk and climbs
up it to visit the giant's castle in the clouds. The giant, however, isn't
very glad to see him...
The
Lost Art of Keeping Secrets, by Eva Rice. Set in the 1950s in an England
still recovering from the Second World War, this is the enchanting story
of Penny and her eccentric family at the start of the rock 'n' roll era.
Penny is growing up and longing to fall in love, but she also has to cope

tall Anna decides to chase her dreams, and, with a little help from her
friends, embarks on a madcap scheme to get just what she's after.
The
Smartest Giant in Town, by Julia Donaldson. A heartwarming children's
picture book about a giant who is kind to everybody.
Stand
Tall, by Joan Bauer. Because he is 6'3½" tall, everyone
expects 12-year-old Tree to be a star basketball player. With the help
of his Vietnam veteran grandpa and his friend Sophie, Tree finds his own
way to stand tall.
